Day 5 of 5 · Valor

Build a brave, steady body.

Valor is doing the brave thing at child scale. Today the brave thing is balance and big, whole-body moves.

Animal Crawls for Body AwarenessBear crawl and crab walk to activate core strength and build whole-body awareness.

Now play it together.

  1. Make a line on the floor with tape, a rope, or a row of cushions.
  2. Balance walk, 2 minutes. Slow, steady steps along the line with arms out like an airplane. Forwards first, then backwards.
  3. Animal crawls, 2 minutes. Bear crawl across the room, then crab walk back.
  4. Their choice, 1 minute. Let them pick a favourite move from all five days and lead it.

Clear a safe space first, and stop any move that hurts.

What to notice

Watch for these today.

  • Do they try the harder version without being asked?
  • How do they talk about it afterwards?
  • Which move did they pick? That is the one to keep doing.

The Body Organizes the Inner World

A short lesson from Mandie on what today's moves do for a growing brain. It's from our free course, The Science of Imagery.

You did it

Five days. Keep it going.

Genius Lab is where the daily practice lives: hundreds of movement games, short brain-science lessons and a community of families doing the same thing. It's free to join. And B.A.G. puts the four pillars in your child's hands, one card a day.
