Cross-body march, 2 minutes. Opposite hand to opposite knee. Go slow first, then a little faster, and count out loud.
Lazy 8s, 2 minutes. Trace a sideways 8 in the air, one arm at a time, eyes following the hand. Then try both hands together.
One last fast round, 1 minute. March again, as fast as you can while staying in control. Finish with a big "Brain on!"
Clear a safe space first, and stop any move that hurts.
What to notice
Watch for these today.
Can they cross the middle of the body without twisting their whole trunk?
Are they calmer, or more alert, when you finish?
Laugh when someone fumbles. Fumbling is the brain working.
The why, in about a minute
